What is a bamboo toothbrush made of?

A bamboo toothbrush is made of bamboo, obviously. The Bam&Boo bamboo toothbrushes are 96% natural, cruelty-free, and vegan. However, as you might imagine, the bristles are also part of a toothbrush, which accounts for less than 5% of our non-natural product.

We strongly believe that environmental damage can be preventable if we take a small and simple action: refuse plastic and switch to a bamboo toothbrush.

Can I boil a bamboo toothbrush?

Can I boil a bamboo toothbrush?

You can boil your bamboo toothbrush. But only after it has served its primary purpose: cleaning your teeth. You may want to boil your bamboo toothbrush if you see the handle getting moldy. We need to remind you that bamboo is an organic material, thus porous. And this appearance might be a consequence of not drying properly your bamboo toothbrush after each use. If you skip this important second step, you’ll get a pool of water at the bottom of your cup, and naturally moist will penetrate the bamboo handle.

Do bamboo toothbrushes harbor bacteria?

Do bamboo toothbrushes harbor bacteria?

Bamboo toothbrushes harbor bacteria like any other conventional toothbrush. Truth be said that our mouths are a reservoir of variable natural microorganisms.
Bamboo toothbrushes as plastic toothbrushes are a fertile breeding ground for a number of microorganisms. The problem is when there is an imbalance in the amount of unhealthy bacteria versus the number of healthy ones. So you better take some precautions.
